Team & support

Our boarding school support team - or:

it's all in the mix...

Our boarding school students are looked after by a team of teachers from different professional and geographical backgrounds.

On the one hand, there are youth and home educators as well as social pedagogues with a purely educational view of the young people. There are also the school mentors, whose job it is to keep an eye on the pupils' schoolwork, especially their grades. They help and support through encouraging discussions and by providing targeted support and organizing extra help, etc.

Regular staff meetings, joint work in school development teams and ongoing supervision events ensure a high level of reflection and continuous development of our educational work.

The teachers and educators are supported by trainees from different backgrounds, pre- and recognition trainees in teacher training as well as assistant teachers from England, France and the USA.

Dr. Peter Nikolaus - former student and internist

We were brought up to be independent very quickly, but still always had people close by who were there for us. The ability to organize myself and manage on my own is a major influence that will stay with me for the rest of my life.
I can also say from my own experience that a boarding school and the school can still be a kind of family substitute.

To our alumni portraits

At our boarding school, everyone finds their own specific caregiver

In our diverse team of teachers, every pupil at our boarding school has their very own reference person, a contact person in special situations who always acts as a role model. These are ideal conditions for a reliable and trusting relationship. Above all, because this mentor is always there to offer help and advice. This mentor is also the first point of contact for parents for all questions and challenges.

"The task of the environment is not to shape the child, but to allow it to reveal itself."

Maria Montessori

It is important to us that some of our educators live on the premises. They live in their own apartments, but close to the young people they look after.

Boarding school staff with a wide range of additional qualifications

In addition to the necessary professional qualifications, many of our employees often also have experience in other fields of activity and enrich everyday life at the school and boarding school with their special knowledge, skills and abilities by offering working groups, projects and experiential educational activities.

Our mentors' most important concern is the well-being and development of their protégés. Their aim is to create an atmosphere of trust for each child in which they feel comfortable and can develop.

Boarding school with an "all-round carefree package"

We like to casually refer to our boarding school offer as our "all-round carefree package". With this we would like to express that we feel responsible for our boarding school students in all matters. Whether it's a visit to the doctor, driving school, a train station transfer or whatever else is on the agenda - we take care of it. We also have our own boarding school transport service for this purpose - as well as a small fleet of vehicles, consisting of school buses and a car, which can be used for all such trips.

All processes, appointments and trips are managed and coordinated by our boarding school staff or the responsible mentor.

In principle, we have a homecoming weekend every two weeks, but we also offer weekend and vacation supervision. Especially for our international boarding school students who do not have the opportunity to go home for the weekend, we offer uninterrupted care and thus a continuous operation, of course with care and leisure program. This means that trips home can be arranged and arranged individually, which is a great advantage for many families in Germany. Our boarding school is only closed during the Christmas and summer vacations.
