Our goals

Our STEM strategy has a clear goal: we want to inspire enthusiasm for STEM subjects in pupils of all ages and develop their skills in these areas. At lower secondary level, we focus on getting students to enjoy STEM subjects through hands-on experiences and experiments. We want to spark their curiosity and create space for them to discover and develop their own talents. Through active participation in experiments and projects, students should experience how fascinating and relevant STEM subjects are to their daily lives.
At upper secondary level, we go one step further by specifically supporting highly talented and particularly interested students. In addition to a general enthusiasm for STEM, we want to give these students the opportunity to realize their full potential in these fields and prepare for advanced studies or a career in STEM. We offer individualized support measures such as early studies, independent research projects and access to special online resources to provide students with targeted support and deepen their interests.
This differentiated approach takes into account the diverse needs and interests of our students at different ages and educational levels. It allows us to continuously foster enthusiasm for STEM subjects from elementary school to high school and give every student the opportunity to develop their potential in these exciting fields.

What is important to us

In order to achieve our goals and evaluate the success of our STEM strategy, we rely on a variety of measures and evaluation procedures. In lower secondary school, extracurricular activities such as competitions, excursions and projects are offered in cooperation with external partners. These activities not only serve to arouse the students' interest, but also to strengthen their skills in the STEM subjects. We regularly evaluate the success of these activities by collecting both quantitative and qualitative data. This includes, for example, the participation rates of students in the various events, their performance in competitions and feedback from students and teachers.
At upper secondary level, we focus on targeted support measures for highly talented and particularly interested students. In addition to participating in advanced courses and projects, we also offer these students the opportunity to carry out their own research projects and take part in specialized competitions.
We also continuously evaluate the effectiveness of our STEM teaching and learning methods. This includes the analysis of school performance data, curricula and teaching materials as well as regular feedback from students and their parents. These evaluation processes allow us to continuously improve our STEM strategy and ensure that we are meeting the needs and interests of our students in the best possible way.
