1. recognizing and promoting individual potential (in and out of school)
Everyone has an individual personality with their own ideas, preferences and many hidden abilities.
At the Schloss-Schule boarding school, we have made it our mission to recognize the potential of every pupil in order to promote it in the best possible way. We take a lot of time to do this!
A motivating feel-good atmosphere, small classes, innovative concepts, individual support plans: our boarding school offers what other schools do not. In this way, we are able to respond to the needs of each individual and help them to overcome weaknesses and develop strengths.
Our goal at Gymnasium Internat is to prepare our students for life - personally and academically. We ensure this by offering a wide range of support and development opportunities, such as practical lessons, comprehensive homework support, remedial courses and many extracurricular activities.
Our boarding grammar school also offers several opportunities for lateral entry: secondary school leavers or young people with comparable educational qualifications can enter Year 10 at the Schloss-Schule without knowing a second foreign language and after two years obtain the advanced technical college entrance qualification (written part) or after three years the general higher education entrance qualification (Abitur).
2. special feel-good atmosphere in the school and boarding school
The Schloss-Schule is anything but an ordinary school. At our boarding school, students can look forward to a warm atmosphere, dedicated teachers and support staff and an ideal living and learning environment.
We are convinced that optimal academic performance is only possible under optimal conditions. At the boarding school, we ensure an ideal balance between learning and life through a wide range of leisure activities, many sports activities and always accessible confidants.
We want to offer children and young people a place where they can feel at home - with all rights and rules. For us, living together, achieving goals together and the good feeling of being in good hands are paramount.
3. structured daily routine at the boarding school
The aim of the Schloss-Schule Kirchberg boarding school is to set an example of responsibility for children and young people - through clear structures and the best possible support both at school and in everyday life.
We want each of our pupils to find support and guidance. That is why every one of our teachers and support staff tries to help our pupils find their own best possible path. This opens up new perspectives for later life.
4. harmonious coexistence of local and boarding school pupils
The world meets at our boarding school Gymnasium Schloss-Schule Kirchberg - and the world meets Schloss-Schule Kirchberg. The special attraction lies in the coexistence of around 2/3 local students from Kirchberg and the surrounding area and around 1/3 boarding school students from all over Germany, Europe and overseas. At our boarding school in Baden-Württemberg, children and young people from Germany, China, Spain, France, Italy, Poland and other countries come together - and become good friends.
This interesting mix of different cultures guarantees a lively exchange, which in turn promotes understanding, openness and tolerance.
5. boarding school and grammar school offer a wide range of leisure activities
A healthy mind is known to live in a healthy body. That's why the Schloss-Schule boarding school and the surrounding area offer numerous leisure activities to let off steam, switch off or regenerate.
Our students can be creative and artistic (e.g. in the school's own"Culture & Workshop Center") as well as sporty, social or musical - for example in the school's numerous working groups.
6. idyllic rural surroundings and excellent transport links
In Kirchberg and the surrounding area, the world is a little more idyllic than elsewhere. The landscape, culture and local people create a unique setting in which our students can develop both academically and personally away from the noise of the big city.
At the same time, Kirchberg is well connected to the southern German transport network, so nothing stands in the way of a weekend visit, an excursion or a short vacation in Kirchberg.
7. cosmopolitan reform pedagogy with lived internationality
Our boarding school Gymnasium Schloss-Schule Kirchberg is a member of the renowned "The Boarding School Association" and we are proud of our reformed educational roots!
This means that our boarding school is open-minded, undogmatic and free of prejudice. Here, the children and young people are at the forefront as individuals - regardless of religion, nation or gender.
The boarding school has set itself the task of specifically supporting and challenging pupils with their unique talents and abilities.
8. advantages of a private school - optimal framework conditions
The decision to choose a private school is usually a conscious one. Although the same legal framework conditions apply here as for public schools, we can also set our own priorities in areas such as evaluation, personnel management and goal orientation.
In addition, our boarding school is able to offer an excellent teacher-student ratio and therefore significantly smaller classes; this means that our students receive optimal support from dedicated specialists.
As the boarding school is supported by a charitable foundation, parents can be sure that the school fees are only used for the best possible education and care for our students.
9. very good school and boarding school infrastructure, as well as excellent catering
From their first day at Gymnasium Internat Schloss-Schule Kirchberg, children and young people, whether as local or boarding students, have access to modern teaching materials, high-quality facilities and age-appropriate catering with delicious, fresh ingredients from the region.
The buildings at Gymnasium Internat are either recently built or modernized and excellently maintained. In combination with the people who work here every day with heart and passion for the well-being of our students, this creates a unique school and boarding school atmosphere at our Gymnasium Internat, which former students still rave about decades later.
10. Intensive study and career guidance at the boarding school
As it is important to think outside the box while still at school and to consider what can happen after school, we also support our students beyond school topics with intensive preparation for their future careers.
Be it in terms of career orientation with various internships and career information evenings, self-assessment tests, learning how to write application letters and CVs, or training for job interviews or recruitment tests.
At our boarding school, we have all-encompassing, cross-grade support concepts with which we want to prepare our students for later life in the best possible way. We are also supported in this endeavor by our cooperation partners, such as several companies in our area, as well as the Federal Employment Agency.
