Kirchberg and the surroundings of the Schloss-Schule boarding school

Kirchberg an der Jagst - the pearl of the Jagst valley

Location of the Schloss-Schule

Schloss-Schule Kirchberg is located in the heart of southern Germany, above the romantic Jagst valley in one of the most beautiful regions of Baden-Württemberg on the "Windshöhe" of the small town of Kirchberg an der Jagst in rural Hohenlohe.

The town center of Kirchberg, where there is plenty to discover, is just a 10-minute walk away. The integration of our Schloss-Schule into the town of Kirchberg is something that is greatly appreciated by our pupils. In addition to the impressive backdrop of the old town with Kirchberg Castle and the Sandel Museum, the town of Kirchberg has a lot more to offer.

Among other things, there are various restaurants and a pizzeria. There is also a cinema in Kirchberg, the "Klappe", where our students like to stop by time and again, whether for a meal and/or a movie.

Kirchberg offers a colorful cultural life, for example in the revitalized castle, in the Sandel Museum or at the traditional festivals and markets.

The Jagst Valley is unique for nature lovers who enjoy hiking and cycling. One of the most beautiful sections of the Kocher-Jagst cycle path runs from Mistlau over the Ockenauer Steg to Kirchberg. There are also wonderful hiking trails to explore.

Thanks to the lively club life in the tranquil town of Kirchberg, there are also many leisure activities available to our pupils.

In addition to two commercial areas, Kirchberg has shopping facilities for daily needs and excellent healthcare thanks to a large medical center.

Around Kirchberg and the castle school

Located directly on the A6, Kirchberg has excellent road connections and there are numerous opportunities to explore the "Hohenloher Land" in the immediate vicinity.

Be it in Crailsheim, 15 km away (where the nearest train station is also located) or in Schwäbisch Hall, 25 km away. In addition to the many sights, the town centers invite you to shop and stroll around. You can enjoy various activities, such as boating, bowling, golfing, swimming and much more.

A special attraction in Schwäbisch Hall is the Hohenlohe Adventure Open-Air Museum, which is also very popular with our students and is visited regularly. Around 70 historical buildings from various villages in the Württemberg-Franconia region have been relocated to the extensive grounds of the open-air museum, which is home to hundreds of animals. Equipped with original furnishings, they invite visitors to explore. Farms, craftsmen's houses, workshops, barns, mills, chapel, schoolhouse, railroad station, prison - all of these and much more are waiting to be discovered.

The rural, tranquil Hohenlohe countryside with its beautiful nature is ideal for jogging, cycling, fishing and exploring.
