As early as Saturday evening, it became clear that this weekend was about more than just athletic ambition. At a wonderful get-together, everyone laughed, shared stories, and celebrated—truly embodying the special sense of community that unites our boarding schools. New friendships were formed, old connections were rekindled, and, of course, there was already some talk about the upcoming exams.
On Sunday, things got serious—at least a little bit. The competitions were all about fun, fairness, and the famous partner horse, which presented quite a few riders with exciting challenges. After all, you never know for sure whether the horse you’re assigned has the same athletic ambitions as its rider. That’s precisely what makes our invitational tournament so special and ensures plenty of surprising and entertaining moments every year.
Of course, the coveted challenge cup was also up for grabs. It remained exciting right up to the end, with several teams locked in a neck-and-neck race. In the end, the Schloss-Schule Kirchberg secured victory by the narrowest of margins and took the challenge cup home.
We extend our heartfelt congratulations to the winners and thank all participating riders, volunteers, horses, and supporters for a thoroughly successful weekend. We’re already looking forward to the next inter-school riding tournament—and to seeing who will claim the challenge cup next time!
