At the start of the ceremony, Acting Principal Constanze Lucht welcomed the numerous guests and bid farewell to the graduating class with a personal address. She warmly congratulated the graduates on passing their Abitur exams and praised their achievements, saying, “You are a wonderful class.”
She reminded them that the path to the Abitur doesn’t always have to be a straight one. Whether through long-term preparation or a final push right before the exams—what matters is that they achieved their goal. At the same time, she made it clear that such success does not always come about on one’s own. She expressed her gratitude to the parents and families for their support and trust, as well as to the entire Schloss-Schule team, which paved the way for the students. She particularly highlighted the dedication of the upper-level advisor, Ms. Sigloch, who guided the class throughout their time in the upper grades.
With an overall average of 2.3, the Class of 2026 can be proud of a very good result. Particularly encouraging are the numerous top scores: one student achieved the dream grade of 1.0, two achieved 1.3, two achieved 1.4, two achieved 1.5, two achieved 1.7, and one achieved 1.8.
The Schloss-Schul Gold Medal, traditionally awarded for the best Abitur results, went to Zoe Liu (Abitur average of 1.0), while the Silver Medal went to Noa Meyer (Abitur average of 1.3), based on the highest total point scores.
Numerous awards were also presented during the ceremony:
The Scheffel Prize in German was awarded to Larissa Unger. Zoe Liu was honored for outstanding achievements in mathematics, chemistry, and ethics; Laura Spintzyk received the award in social studies; Liv Tillmann-Mumm was recognized in English; and Floyd Kühnen was honored in history. Noa Meyer received several honors for her achievements in visual arts, French, and Protestant religion. Her special commitment outside the classroom was also recognized: Natalia Schübel, as well as Mattis and Floyd Kühnen, were honored for their participation in the equestrian club, and the theater award for continuous participation in the theater club since 5th grade went to Noa Meyer. The Schloss-Schul-Verein’s Social Award for outstanding commitment at school and in the boarding school was presented to Noa Meyer and Floyd Kühnen. Their long-standing commitment outside the classroom was also recognized.
With the ceremonial presentation of their high school diplomas, a formative chapter in the graduates’ lives comes to a close. The Schloss-Schule warmly congratulates all graduates on their successful completion of high school and wishes them all the best for their personal and professional futures, much success, and the courage to forge their own paths.
