As every year, the year 6 classes at Schloss-Schule took part in the reading competition organized by the “Stiftung Buchkultur und Leseförderung des Börsenvereins des Deutschen Buchhandels”.
The class finals took place in November, from which two class winners emerged. The school competition was then held on 13.12.24. The six class winners Alina K. (6a), Mika L. (6a), Ela C. (6b), Jorek K. (6b), Hanna N. (6c) and Frieda P. (6c) competed against each other. First, a three-minute text of their choice was read aloud, before which the students gave a brief insight into the book and which they had practiced well at home. This was followed by the foreign text round, in which the pupils each read for two minutes from the book “Five Friends - The Dangerous Encounter”. At the end, two students had to compete against each other once again, as the jury, made up of the respective German teachers, were not in agreement. In the end, Ela C. from class 6b won by a narrow margin and will now represent us in the regional competition in February. We wish Ela the best of luck.
