At least that's the impression we, the students of the J2 basic French course, got after our weekend in Paris with Mrs Zilles and Mr d'Allard. First, we visited the typical sights on the Axe historique (historical axis through Paris) and the Île de la Cité and the Île Saint-Louis, i.e. the historical centre of Paris. We then visited art museums such as the Musée Rodin and the Musée d'Orsay. Despite our packed programme, we only got a glimpse of Paris that left us wanting more.
The charm of Paris was evident in the good weather, inviting us to picnics and good humour. Especially at night, the Eiffel Tower enchanted us with its radiant lighting, but the light reflections in the Seine also created a magical atmosphere.
Even if you can never see Paris in its entirety, every visit to this city of love is worthwhile.
