57 pupils from 8 different schools in the Crailsheim area competed against each other in rapid chess for a whole morning. Each player had 4 minutes in which to decide the winner. At the end of the available time and if the outcome of the game had not yet been decided, the chess player whose time had expired was the loser. An additional, highly concentrated and emotional challenge for the highly motivated pupils.
After a total of 9 intense and gripping games, which each student had to complete, the following winners emerged at the end:

At the final award ceremony, all pupils received a certificate of participation from headmaster Alexander Franz and tournament organiser Bernd Zugck, and the top 3 players in each class received a special chess trophy.
As last year, the Johannes-Brenz-Gemeinschaftsschule was allowed to take the challenge cup back to Schwäbisch Hall and bring it back safe and sound to Kirchberg for the next Christmas tournament.
