Throughout the school years, we offer a range of day trips, excursions, student exchanges and school trips. For us, learning doesn't just mean sitting in a classroom, learning also means learning from life and experience. Here, our pupils can discover the world, gain experience and get to know themselves.
Social learning also plays a major role on trips and excursions. You are out and about without parents, experience the class community in a different way and get to know your classmates better - experiential educational activities promote the class community, detached from the classroom situation.
Excursions at our boarding school are used, among other things, to teach subject-specific academic content, such as the basic European idea or language exchange. Numerous international friendships can be made and have already been formed.
Pupils at our grammar school always make one thing clear: Excursions and trips are highlights in their school career, something that they remember fondly years later, because they are simply fun!
In addition to many smaller excursions (museums, theater, concerts, exhibitions, galleries and much more), the planned class trips of our boarding school are listed here by grade:
Class 5/6 School country home: Rappenhof / Schapbachhof
Class 7 England trip
Class 8 France trip
Class 10 Poland exchange
Class 11 Course trips
(The Schloss-Schul-Verein also supports this with scholarships)
School partnership
We have had a school partnership with our Polish partner school in Bielsko-Biala for over 25 years, which has developed into a real school friendship. The first pupils from the V. Lyceum came to us just 3 years after it was founded. In return, we experienced and continue to experience the warm hospitality of our neighboring country.
Against the backdrop of German-Polish history, the students actually live and experience reconciliation and understanding during their visits to Kirchberg and Bielsko-Biala. Thanks to the constant annual visits, the exchange between the V. Lyceum and the Schloss-Schule has become part of the identity of both schools.
In addition, there are regular student exchanges with partner schools in France.
