Gymnasium or secondary school? Every child is different. That’s why no educational path should be the same as another (nor should it be). For this reason, we at the state-recognized Gymnasium and boarding school Schloss-Schule Kirchberg, together with our cooperation partners, the schools in the surrounding area, have developed three very interesting programs for secondary school students of different age groups some time ago. These offer students the specific opportunity to develop optimally in a real feel-good atmosphere with comprehensive support - tailored to their changing individual inclinations and abilities.

Thus, it is possible to complete a precisely "fitting" educational path, benefit from one of the most renowned boarding schools in Baden-Württemberg, and ultimately start adult life with a tailored qualification!

We offer three educational alternatives, where your child will always be accommodated and cared for in the boarding school of Schloss-Schule:

1. Start in our cooperative secondary school and obtain the certificate of secondary education
2. Start at our cooperative secondary school and, under certain conditions, transfer to Schloss-Schul-Gymnasium early on.
3. After obtaining the secondary school certificate at the cooperating secondary school or from another secondary school/middle school or with a comparable qualification, transition to Schloss-Schule (in class 10+) and obtain the entrance qualification for universities of applied sciences or the Abitur

It is generally possible to attend the Schloss-Schule boarding school starting from elementary school (from grade 3). From the fifth grade onwards, we offer every child the opportunity to choose the school form that suits them best. To this end, we have been working together with the neighboring August-Ludwig-Schlözer-Schule and Hermann-Merz-Schule Ilshofen for many years. Here, there are both elementary school classes as well as secondary vocational and secondary school classes.

Individual support and assistance are highly valued at the Schloss-Schule boarding school! Together with the young people, we successfully achieve educational goals such as the secondary school diploma step by step. This is accomplished with individualized support and care.

Of course, the secondary school students benefit just as much as the gymnasium students from the offerings of our boarding school. The children receive help from our qualified caregivers for school problems - they can also take advantage of all extracurricular support. We support every child and young person in their talents and foster their potentials – whether they are musical, athletic, linguistic, manual, scientific, or mathematical. All in accordance with our reform pedagogical approach of "Living, Learning, and Working."

 

For secondary school students who wish to obtain their Abitur after completing their secondary school diploma (or a comparable qualification), Schloss-Schule Kirchberg offers the opportunity, under certain conditions, to achieve their goal of obtaining their Abitur by joining our 10+ class.

The students in class 10+ come to our school from a variety of educational backgrounds. In class 10+, they prepare together for the upper school. To this end, subject-specific educational content is bundled and taught in an understandable way. In order to motivate the young people, the teaching and learning methods are geared towards independent action and learning.
